The best of all possible worlds
My family doesn't like iced coffee with soda. They prefer their coffee hot, with creamer. Me, I like both.
(The above line is brought to you by me not sleeping much last night, and trying to prop my eyelids open today by the grace of soda coffee, energy drink, and chocolate)
Reply to this meme by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you.

wuxia
This is a subject people never fail to ask me about in this sort of meme. :D I'd like to write a wuxia story that today's readers can relate to, without bypassing the classical elements (strifes and other conflicts in wulin, familial duties, etc.). I also try not to create techniques that are too fantastic, both in name and execution, and characters that readers can feel for. It's my experience that, if you don't care for the characters in a book, you won't be too interested in following the story all the way to the end.
NanoWriMo
"50,000 words a month? That's only for very dedicated folks!" I used to think. There are so many delights in doing NaNo - making new friends (mostly IRL, in my case), getting oneself accustomed to write (the famous ass-on-chair-fingers-on-keyboard approach actually works) and thus developing a habit, learning new tricks. This year I'll try for a story that doesn't exceed 50k in length.
writing communities
If you think I'm obsessed with writing communities now, you should've seen me in 2005 up to 2007. I staked claims everywhere, even made my own themed writing community. These days I tend more toward writing communities that discuss writing or communities for original fiction.
FMA
There's nothing much to say other than I'm in awe of Arakawa as a writer. *_* When writing Roy and Hawkeye, my favorite characters - both separately and together - I don't feel I'm doing them justice.
Prince of Tennis
I have the first season of the Chinese version, which I haven't watched yet, and which looks like a wuxia series. (The trailer for the second season sure looks like that of a wuxia series) Truth be told, I haven't been following Shin TeniPuri, since I don't think it has anything new to offer at this point. If, however, a Tezuka vs Yukimura match finally takes place...
