I've been reading sites on blood type diets. What do you mean my type should avoid caffeine :(

Contributed another 800 words toward my [info]getyourwordsout goal, after having not written since the end of August. I've also been editing the novel and dicovered,
that a literary pugilist's weapon of choice need not always be a writing brush.
scenes that prove I enjoy working on this story, despite the mental stumbling blocks.

Am editing the novel page by page. Whoa, I don't remember the MC ever being this emo. :D

The unappealing sight of my bed. The green thing is the book where I note down fic ideas. No, I've no idea where the Chelsea FC bedsheet came from.

From [info]helike, I heard that coffee can help raise blood pressure. As my blood pressure is naturally low, I'm glad to have found yet another reason to embrace coffee.

The upcoming August themeset at [info]31_days is very fine. I.Will.Resist.

*steps back and stares at the NaNo 2008 novel* Too many dialogues. Since this is wuxia, maybe it's time to kill off a character or two.

A reference post for school systems in the US and UK. [info]fanficrants, never change.

How to detect misleading ads. I think fragrance-free would only sound less dubious when the product in question is tissues.

The reason I don't want to create too many characters for the wuxia novel is only because I don't want the story to get too long. It's too long already. The editing, man.

103rd floor glass balconies at the Sears Towers. Definitely not for those with fear of heights. Personally I haven't had any problems with heights, so this kind of structure seems exciting.

Can I finish the NaNo2008 novel before November comes around? (Editing is another matter entirely) I'll definitely try. More coincidences in the plot might help (ahem).

When will I have the time to update the layouts on my domain, when.

10 tips for getting good sleep. What do you mean no caffeine after 6 p.m.? -_-

So far watching Heaven Sword Dragon Saber 1986 to help me move on with the NaNo 2008 novel has worked. But I'm only a few episodes away from the end. What should I do after the final episode? Options:
+ Watch it again from the start. Okay, maybe not. Look for another wuxia series?
+ Use Write or Die to boost the wordcount, since I never have done so.

I have too much catching up to do in [info]summerwrite2 so maybe I'll just have to forget that one. *hangs head in shame* But maybe the [info]getyourwordsout target is still salvageable.

Be not afraid of going slowly; be afraid only of standing still. - Chinese proverb

Thus, I've started editing my 2008 NaNo. However slow this is going to go, I'm planning to finish the editing before February is over, and then continue with the story. So far, what I mostly do is fangirl over my own characters and scenes. *sweatdrop*

If I still want to participate in [info]getyourwordsout, I'll have to go past 36k words at the end of the month. During the first 39 days of 2009 I've written about 7,000 words, which means...29k more to go. :D

And it seems I've stumbled into a roadblock in my effort to watch the rest of Darker Than Black. And some other titles I've had my eyes on. Hm.

Happy birthday, [info]aiwritingfic :)

There's a fanficcer in the Naruto fandom who's also a published author. Not that it's rare - people would willingly write for love and money, and if it's for both, all the better. I just wonder to what extent people would compare their professional writing and their fanfic.

I try to edit my NaNo but every time I open the document I keep thinking, "Need second opinion NAO", and from then on it's a downward spiral.
From the NaNo feed: Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award. *head thuds*

And it's rain, rain, rain. And yesterday a cat got into the garage and had to be chased out by way of the house.

When I'm not working, I don't feel like doing anything, which is very, very bad. Ideas swim around in my head and wait to be written down, but if I don't do it soon, they may leave.

If you want to be a writer, you don't "try" to be a writer. You just write. You write like your life depended on it. You write with everything you have in you, understanding that only the very best you have in you even has a chance of giving you the life and the dreams you want.
...
If you just want to TRY to write, quit now. Either have the guts to do it, or admit to yourself that you don't want it enough, and spend you passion on something that you DO want enough.

Stop making me feel guilty, dammit. *is still in the grip of a relentless writer's block*

Do you ever go out to dinner (at a sit-down restaurant) by yourself?

That's what I usually did when I still lived in a boarding house.

Last but definitely not least: Condolences to the Chief of the South Sumatra House of Representatives, who died at the hands of anarchic protesters. I can't stand to watch the news - to watch an idiocy on a scale that huge.

From here:
Who says your book isn’t interesting? You, right? Are you sure that’s not just an excuse to give up?
No, it's not. Eve not being Neil Gaiman, she worries about genre and target audience.
The most important way to deal with all these problems is to finish your book. It’s very hard to diagnose what’s wrong with an unfinished manuscript.
I suppose what I'm worried about is that I'd feel I've spent hours - nay, days - on a story no one else would want to read, while it's supposed to be a book I want to sell.

On a tangential note, I have titles I have no stories for, and story ideas for which I try to find suitable titles. *tilts head*

Carrie Vaughn in deconstructing urban fantasy.
We really like strong women. But as a culture [Western], we’re still apologizing for them, undercutting them, tempering them.
This made me think of my most recent NaNo, and how in wuxia it's usually odd if there's only one strong female character. Whether or not they pine for guys, alpha males or otherwise, is another matter entirely.

The new Shippuuden ending is probably telling us not to take the filler arc seriously.

GreatestJournal is really gone now? I remember it had this very cute moodtheme featuring an onion-like character.

This Yozoh album is very soothing.

Explanation on mood: I accidentally hit my right eyeball last night. Don't ask how that is even possible. Wondrously graceful, that's me. Eyeball, Eve asks for your forgiveness.

[info]access_identity, Fantasista is up at OneManga. Scanlated from the Korean edition. (LOL)

My wits seem to have been scattered thanks to NaNo (not that they were rock-steady to begin with) because my posts are becoming more incoherent and more NaNo-centric. Not to mention those starry-eyed bunnies that convince me they're worth writing, and worth writing now. Huh.
